SHAME

SHAME: what is shame?
  1. 1
a painful feeling of humiliation or distress caused by the consciousness of wrong or foolish behavior.

How is shame shown in the world around me?
Easy answer: Shame is within everyone. Everyone has something they are not proud of, something they wish they could redo, or take back. Shame is shown by not being ones 100% self. When someone is ashamed of who they are, they are more likely to try and be someone or something else. These people hide themselves to fit in with a crowd. That crowd is filled with people that are doing the same, hiding themselves. The human race would be more productive, more creative, more advanced if people were not afraid to show themselves, if people were not afraid to stand out and show everyone their unique talents. When one hides their talents instead of developing them the talents slowly vanish. Shame however can do good to a human heart. Shame can make someone be better, and make them want to change. http://www.dictionary.com/browse/shame?s=t
